TEDxKalamazoo is Kicking Off its 2014-2015 Season This Wednesday

We are really excited to announce that the first event in TEDxKalamazoo’s 2014-2015 season is this week! Normally you’d have to pay thousands of dollars to get to watch TED speakers live, but we’ve got something special for you: a chance to see the TED Global event live – for FREE! On Wednesday, we’re hosting a livestream of the TED Global conference, so you can skip the plane ticket to Rio de Janeiro. You can check out the details here<link to event page>.

TEDxKalamazoo is partnering up with the Chemistry Graduate Student Association at Western Michigan University and the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers to bring TED Global to Kalamazoo. We have a room to sit back and watch TED speakers live from Brazil as they spread their inspiring message, right on Western’s campus. Whether you want to come and watch a talk or two or hang out with us all day, that’s great! The talks don’t stop until late afternoon, so drop in whenever you have the chance.

There’s an impressive lineup of presenters for Wednesday, ranging from funk dancers and favela painters to renowned neuroscientists and activists. You can see the full lineup on our event page. And don’t forget that you can see this as it’s happening for free! If you’ve always wanted to see a TED event but never had the money, you need to check this out. It’s going to be a great event and we’re excited to be able to bring it to Kalamazoo. Come down to WMU’s Chemistry Building this Wednesday, October 8 and join us!
